States sue over ‘plainly against the law’ Trump $6B education funding pause

About two dozen state attorneys general and Democratic governors sued the Trump administration on Monday for withholding more than $6 billion in federal funds for several education programs nationwide.
"This is plainly against the law," North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson told ABC News in an exclusive interview ahead of the lawsuit.
The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island. It includes the attorney general of the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.
"About 2 dozen started have sued..."
So not even half the states give a shit about education.
The cost is on the plaintiffs, whereas the federal govt has effectively unlimited money to spend even before ignoring g court orders. While my state is not on this list, the AGs office was funded with tens of millions of dollars extra this year. While we do have a good education system to protect, there are so many other illegal actions taken by this administration that no one has time for them all. We all do what we can and hope most illegal actions get some court time
Here’s why you don’t put all your eggs in one basket
Nothing will happen anyway. There is no more court system
Only if youre poor.
