The truce between Ansarallah and the Trump administration, which was mediated by Oman and signed in May, strictly covered direct strikes between the two entities. After weeks of fighting, the two sides agreed to a ceasefire in which the Yemeni group would agree to stop targeting U.S. ships in the Red Sea in exchange for an end to the U.S. bombing campaign.
