And republiQans blame the democrats for their incompetence and claim themselves as the financially responsible ones. Every few months they repeat the same tired argument so their base can be mad at someone else for the problems they caused
Same in Canada, if we look at the federal and provincial governments the party that has run the smallest % of deficits is the NDP, which is center left.
As if it costs less to offer universal social services instead of waiting for shit to get worse before getting involved!
I'm feeling the Dem voters do the same with social issues.

No one has ever "fixed" the us debt in the past 20 years or more.
It's just the US is the main military super power, so no one is about to call them on it.
