Anyone know if they've released the hacked data yet?
- I'm assuming they're in the process of blackmailing the US administration currently

- Why, need a good number to hand out when you aren't really into someone at the bar and they won't leave you alone?
If only they had rules against using personal devices and unapproved software, we could have prevented this.

Wow, Signal is end-to-end encrypted and secure, now switching to some random service that stores all their message is mindblowingly stupid
- They got shit for being stupid and using a public FOSS app that skirts the law.
  It makes a kind of sense they would switch to something worse, because of the aforementioned stupid part.

- Actually, the Signal protocol turned out to be fatally flawed in that, if you added the editor of a major publication to your group chat, all of your conversations would end up on the news the next day. Honestly a pretty egregious vulnerability.
This is the Israeli one right? Don’t take this the wrong way, but why would anybody use an Israeli “secure” app, when half the time when there is a breach in government systems or ransom ware, it’s usually using a product from an Israeli firm. They have repeatedly sold their software to anybody, regardless if the client is our enemy or not.
They do make very good cybersecurity software though.
