Just 10 years ago the US was still seen as being progressive and racism was slowly becoming a thing of the past... and not even in 10 years all the major civil rights achievements of rhe past 70 years are being thrown out so fast it is making my head spin.
Yup. This is what Trump voters wanted. They want it so much they were willing to give up everything else. Even more unfortunate for them that they are just pawns for Trump. Most won't ever realize it.
Reality is already setting in for some. I see and talk to them in my rural farm area.
Is there any actual understanding of how catastrophic this is, and will continue to be? Like, any internalization or admission of what’s happening?
And that’s a serious question - read an article the other day about how a bunch of Iowan farmers were still super gung-ho for orangeboi, because of how deep they were in the propaganda
Is it really though? Not trying to start a fight; I’m genuinely curious. If they would gleefully vote for him again does it even matter?
