Request for more toolbar breathing room

I've found them comfy on the large-format iPhone. I wonder if they stay near the same absolute size on smaller phones?

seems that collapsing an image-only comment is only doable by tapping the far right edge of the comment box and i often get a mis-tap and instead frustratingly get the image fullscreen instead... which is exactly the opposite of what i want to achieve with that action 😂
