Public Safety Minister Garry Begg says the changes, if approved, will see new drivers get "on-road experience" and be subject to a 12-month restriction rather than be required to take another test to get their Class 5 licence.

I'm curious what they mean about this "12 month restriction". Currently it takes 24 months of a class 7 (N) to be eligible for a full class 5. Is this lowering the bar further, or is it extending it to 36 months?

Because what North America needs is easier access to drivers licenses.
The public transit needs to massively improve in BC before we start taking out the stick.

It’s more rigid than what I have in my area in the US. God I wish we had drivers like in BC.
