GPT-4o seems to be like that by default, likely to hide some of the AI artifacts that are there due to the training material is full with JPEG images, and the AI does not know what to do with it.
Also it still has the usual issues the moment you don't provide it with a reference.

My gaidar (generative ai radar) is going off.
I think a good old shitass paint illustration would be preferable. The message itself is good enough to deserve at least that.
I immediately thought the same, and honestly that's sad. This would be a really nice art style for an actual artist to use.
