Is this a kind of emergency messaging thing being added or is this the direction we will go instead of 6G? Lol! I'm half joking because idk anything tbh.
- Emergency mostly. I would imagine in the future though it will be satellite only and towers will be obsolete
What satellite service does this go through, I wonder?

- From the article: Spectrum Mobile and Xfinity Mobile, have launched satellite-based services through a collaboration with Skylo, a non-terrestrial network (NTN) service provider.
- The GrapheneOS forums say there is no intent on implementing this. It will probably be locked behind Google play services anyway.
