Remember when Sony audio CDs came with a rootkit, and then the 'uninstaller' they distributed had even more malware?
Trying to read assembly is the closest I've ever gotten to actual black magic
I'm not a programmer, but I enjoyed reading this, it's a if I understood everything.
And yet after I finished reading, I already forgot what I read.
- Raymond Chen is an excellent writer. He takes topics that are otherwise dry and technical, and makes them interesting and readable for your average person. He's got decades of posts about Windows stuff.
- Sounds like the article uninstalled itself.
