They are massacring Christians, Alawites and Druze men women and children. The Assad supporters line is just a cover story. This is an ISIS pogrom.
Why would people be loyal to assad? What did he stand for that they support?
I thought that most of the support for assad was out of fear, not respect.
- Tribalism and sunk cost will keep some folks going to the end.
