This is stupid, yes.
But don’t let it distract you from the massive turncoat we just handed to Ukraine.
They are trying to flood the zone. They have learned to manipulate the 24 hour news cycle. Remember where our priorities are. Remember the country we aspire to be. Remember the fallen. Remember the heroes.

get out and make some noise. seriously - find a group (protest, town hall, whatever) and show up. repeatedly.
the wife and I are heading to another small protest in our very red town today. we have our banner, handouts and cowbells ready. going to get dirty looks (we dont give a fuck anymore) and supportive honks.
the more others see resistance, the more likely they are to agree that this is not normal.
alone you can do very little, but many yous can do a great deal.

Step 1 is to talk about it. Recruit 5 more people to the cause. Get them to do so. Repeat.
We need to stir things up to a fever pitch. Then we can use that potential energy to make effect change.

You'd think the Military, of all branches, would know American history. "Gay" had a different meaning back then. This is just going to cause another Streisand Effect.

Pete Hegseth is truly one of the weakest people in the country. I guess we now know that words really do hurt him. Just say "gay, trans, LGBT, and diversity" and he'll probably go sit under his desk to suck on a bottle of Jack.

Or name a plane after your mother, if her middle name happens to be Gay then it's time to scrub the history of the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb in ww2...
