Musk Fires The People Actually Doing What DOGE Pretends To Do

Here's my theory:

Putin's learned at this point that Trump is too big a moron to really get done the things he wants him to get done. He's okay at fucking up the US in general (actually more than okay, he is excellent at it), but he also just kind of wants to eat cheeseburgers and cheat on his wife. He doesn't have strong motivation to execute on specific things or follow through.
Elon Musk is the new cat's paw. I haven't seen much indication of him being pro-Russia other than the whole "Starlink in Ukraine" thing, but the whole thing of him all of a sudden being in charge of everything is so weirdly specific and illogical that it seems like it must be some kind of specific activity. Elon, for his part, genuinely believes that he's a genius, and everyone else is a moron, and he's making the government better. Trump knows his stuff is all bullshit. Elon does not. That's why he's charging ahead with all this stuff that Trump wouldn't have the confidence to actually execute on: He really thinks it's going to work great, and when it doesn't, he's going to be absolutely convinced that it is someone else's fault they couldn't execute on his genius idea.

I have no idea how much of the specific nature of the flurry of Elon-activity is prompted by Elon's own internal mechanisms, and how much is what the Russians are telling him (in some form) to do. I think it is a combination.

It is relevant, I guess, that the stuff that seems weirdly out of nowhere and Russia-friendly is coming from Trump, and the stuff that is just pure ketamine-fueled bad ideas is coming from Elon. I sort of suspect that Elon is succeeding at some of Putin's goals and failing at others, because of the exact same issue that Trump presented: He is so profoundly dysfunctional that anything you're trying to accomplish through him is subject to going sideways in severe and unpredictable ways. It's probably like talking to a severely drunk person on the phone and trying to coach them through some activity.

I hate these articles because they seem to assume he has no idea what he is doing. They are indeed doing exactly what they set out to do. It may not seem like it, but I'm sure there is an awful evil purpose to all of this. I'm sure it involves more power and more money for themselves.
