Yes glad you figured that out Dems. Where have you been? Now do your elected jobs and do something about it.
taking a power nap
wake them up when it’s fundraising time again
Considering they have minority status in all three branches of government, what do you suggest they do?
Off the top of my head, individual lawmakers could have put holds on his cabinet nominees to slow down their consideration and limit the amount of damage they could do, but instead they let people like Marco Rubio sail through and only started exercising that power on lower level appointments after Rubio had already destroyed USAID
Use their positions as public officials to rally support, reach out to their union and activist allies to plan mass demonstrations and strikes, use the filibuster?
The same things Republicans do to prevent the Dems from doing anything at all when they get a majority.
Democrafs still vote for the shit the Republicans want. Like breaking the country into parts to be sold.
I want to caution my Republican colleagues that the precedents that the Trump administration is establishing could be followed by a future Democratic president
Sad that they're still telling themselves they're getting another election.
They're living in denial that their country is run by Nazis and they need to resist Nazis. They still think if they point out that the Nazis are being unreasonable they will realize the error of their ways and stop it.
No, they just can’t do anything because voters didn’t elect enough dems to give them a majority.
if they had any spine, they could turn it around when opportunity comes. but i doubt they do
They aren’t warning us. Trying reading more than the headline.
Yeah this was a dumb comment and didn’t and anything
When did sitting congress people become MSNBC hosts?
It is literally your job to prevent these concerns. Stop talking and do something. The old fucks who refuse to leave office have been collecting paychecks while sitting back and doing nothing, progressively giving away their power to the executive branch for the past ~20 years. Now they're concerned? Too little, too late. Either step up (but watch out for broken hips) or get out of the way.
What are senate dems supposed to do without a majority? The voters decided to prevent them from being able to do anything.
We can take a look at what Republicans do without a majority: stall for time, attack the moral character of the opposition, find loopholes in the procedural process that you're technically not disallowed to do but annoy the shit out of everyone, and generally be as obstructionist as possible.
This is the same excuse I've heard for 15 years, even while they had a majority. Meanwhile, Republicans seem able to get shit done even while in the minority. I'm tired of excuses. Do something useful or get the fuck out of government.
I guess they're supposed to take over the Capitol with guns and body armor or else we will continue to bitch and moan about the Democrats being the problem after we told everybody how apathetic we were about voting for them.
Yeah, it feels like they can’t do anything but that can’t be right.
