War Thunder gets BattlEye anti-cheat enabled for Linux

Game famous for leaking classified information gets extra, extra access to the computers of military people, fml, really?!
- I think you might be overestimating the computer acumen of the military.
- I mean, are you running War Thunder on your Abrams tank or F35?
Yeah I saw this. But it can’t be kernel level right
- It won't be on Linux. Many games that support Linux use a less invasive version of their anti-cheat for Linux.
  Unfortunately that is sometimes used as an excuse for not supporting Linux or dropping Linux support.
  
  I would be very very disappointed if they dropped Linux.
- Seems like it is. The price you pay to play these games is to have proprietary spyware running with root access on your device
