Shouldn't they include a little detail about the situation instead of just the video? I found another article with some details.
It appears that this clown has been accusing the people running a Domestic Violence center of trafficking children and doing drugs. The inspector general, to whom he made the accusations, found nothing. He then, for some reason I can't fathom, joined the Division of Children of Families on a tour of the facility. Due to confidentiality statutes, the occupants of the shelter were moved to the bus to protect their identities during the tour. For some reason, he tried entering the bus which would violate those statutes
This ass had no business trying to get on that bus. Typical Republican. Rules for everyone else, but he should just be allowed to do whatever he wants and threaten violence if anyone should get in his way.
That's much worse than anything I thought it might have been. JFC.
yup, I'm willing to bet all of the money that if he were told "no" by a man, he would've slinked away. Instead, he was told "no" by a woman, and this is how he reacts. By putting his hands on her, and then bull rushing her with plenty of "no you" energy. He's a misogynistic POS, so, republican.
The worker should’ve Stood Her Ground, she rightfully feared for her life, she didn’t know if this guy had a gun, if he was going in there to hurt people
Yeah, find out the hard way that it doesn't count as self-defense if you do it to someone in the ruling class.
Take one of them with you :)
well he certainly shows what a little cunt he really is, doesn't he
This would've been a FAFO moment
It's always a non-story when authorities cross boundaries with one of their subjects. They wouldn't be in positions of power if we didn't already believe that their violence was justified as a culture.
Meanwhile, I remember a few months ago... I believe it was Abbot, a constituent came and 'clapped him on the back' or some stupid harmless contact and they charged them with assault
What was more menacing was the way he walked towards her near the end.
Battery, misdemeanor of the first degree.
84.03 Battery; felony battery.—
(1)(a) The offense of battery occurs when a person:
1. Actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other; or
...
(b) Except as provided in subsection (2) or subsection (3), a person who commits battery commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
(a) For a misdemeanor of the first degree, by a definite term of imprisonment not exceeding 1 year;
(d) $1,000, when the conviction is of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
Woah there. This is a political post on a social media site.
You better stop with those non rage inducing comments.
Trying to make a scandal out of this is like those soccer players getting brushed past then falling to the ground screaming and grabbing their leg.
The way he acted after he "angrily puts hand" on her is a lot more noteworthy to me. Like, without context it's hard to be sure. The hand thing first seems like a "I understand what you're saying" or a "I understand how you could think that way" and doesn't actually seem angry to me and on it's own is a bit of a nothing story. But the follow up? That's is definitely not appropriate behavior and intimidatingly forcing her back like that seems uncalled for. It also seems very fast? So I don't know if something happened to him before this? Not to say it excuses it, but there's a difference between someone who is displaying default behavior or someone who has just had a really awful day and doesn't normally act like this.
Trying to make a scandal out of what a woman does with her doctor is much better.
If the roles were reversed would you still sarcastically recommend that Tom Wright have a Rudy-Giuliani-back-pat moment?
Edit: I admit that I did not watch the video when I made this comment, which I admit was short-sighted of me. I think the headline for this article is a bit misleading and the real egregious part is the end of the video where he gets in her face and acts menacingly towards her. I think the scandal is justified.
The Ghoul’s moment had much more to do with gown ”severe” the back-pat was- claiming it was life threatening when it was relatively gentle.
His reaction was over the top and that got him mocked.
Here, the first moment is absolutely assault. It’s relatively mild use of force, but he did push her back, made physical contact and constitutes assault. It’s. It really being exaggerated.
Yes if she angrily put hand on this guys shoulder it would be an equally dumb scandal.
The (R) is obvious, based on the behavior.
Ofc it’s Florida.. oh man.. 😂
