Funny thing, ancient sculptures were colored, as the architecture.
We whitened them.
I'm cringing seeing white Capitol. Someone forgot to paint it.
I know, it's amazing really
Well, time and nature did.
We kind of adopted the idea of them being white as normal.
Back in the days archeologists actually wiped of the remaining paint.
