I'm really interested to see what Val's intentions are, at first she was giving me bad guy vibes, telling Yelena that Clint Barton was responsible for Natasha's death and recruiting that asshole John Walker, but since Bucky is working with them I'm not so sure, plus the whole Hawkeye thing has been sorted out.
I haven't read the comics if you can't tell lol

Val telling Yelena about Barton still doesn't make sense to me. Maybe Val and Barton have some bad blood between them? Maybe Val tried to put together an Avengers team during the snap and it all went to shit? Tony left or couldn't work with Cap. Barton went off to become Ronin. It all fell apart and Natasha had to take over.
Recruiting Walker makes sense. He's a good soldier. He isn't a good Captain America, but he's a good soldier.

Val buying Stark Tower is fun. I wonder if Thunderbolts will get a ________ Avengers name by the end of the film.
It's definitely what she's trying to do, she'll bring up building a "new Avengers team" but it won't stick, Red Guardian will keep calling the team Thunderbolts instead, and then there won't be another movie with them before Secret Wars anyway so that team name will be the running gag for 10 minutes. Maybe someone will make a passing throwaway line about those new weird Wallmart Avengers (just like Yelena with John here) and that's it.
