There’s more herding in swing state polls than at a sheep farm in the Scottish Highlands

I wonder if this could be another reason for a red shift as seen in polling earlier. Herding convinced otherwise independent polls to move rightward when one or a few particularly well regarded polls swung that way, perhaps?
