Assassin's Creed Shadows delay necessary to change "narrative" of Ubisoft's "inconsistency in quality"
God it's not quality. They still don't get that. It's not that they're not stable, I think they're actually pretty stable. It's that they're boring and empty and lifeless. The stories are bland, they're hundreds of fetch quests, and they don't take any risks
They could've done so good with avatar 2. So much potential with all the world elements and instead they make a boring tick all boxes game.
It's Far Cry with an amazingly immersive Pandora skin. It's not shite, it's just... solidly mediocre fun? Unsurprisingly consistent?
Like, they are endlessly perfecting the formula, like any other AAA company that has found something that works.
Quality as well. Ass vikings had audio mastering that's outrageously bad for a title made with so much money and the omnipresent vaseline smear of TAA in the recent titles hasn't done their art direction any favors.
