Australian trial of seaweed cow feed fails to achieve hoped-for methane cuts

I loved the line where the scientists ponder why adding seaweed and canola oil reduced how much food the cows ate. Maybe the cows just hate your stank food?
- It sounds like a pretty nasty concoction, doesn't it?
Even if the red seaweed supplements worked there would be no way we'd be able to supply enough to actually make a difference to the dairy industry's emissions. It's also used to greenwash dairy, completely ignoring the non-methane harms it causes including deforestation and emission of cancer-causing ecosystem-destroying runoff into water supplies and river systems.
