Bob's Burgers' Jay Johnston sentenced to 1 year in prison for role in January 6th

Johnston... previously pleaded guilty to a felony count of interfering with law enforcement during civil disorder in July 2024.
The 56-year-old actor was initially arrested in June 2023 after the FBI tweeted a photo requesting information about his identity. He is alleged to have led a group to the “front line of rioters confronting the police who were defending the entrance” to the Capitol, helping to launch an assault against a group of officers.
Good luck getting hired after a Jan 6th conviction.
Kevin Sorbo is looking to put a team together.
You know what the difference is between Kevin Sorbo and a fishing lure?
A fishing lure gets cast.
According to my Facebook feed, every shitty right-wing actor you can think of is being offered $1B to start their own anti-woke streaming network.
God, I need to just add that site to my AdGuard list.
Maybe he can reboot Andromeda, but with even more fascism
Oh, they rebooting One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?
I dunno, might be able to get a cabinet position depending on how the election goes.
Maybe he'll go to the Daily Wire
He aint exactly in an industry that cares about doing background checks if you understand.........
I think Bob's burgers was kind enough to throw some work his way, he's been in a few episodes since the charges were laid.
Whether they'll do so when he gets out, or whether the class based stigma of the conviction will prevent them, is another question.
As far as I know, Eric Bauza has voiced the character since the charges were brought to light.
He was replaced in 2023. I think there may have been a period where he was fired and they didn't have a replacement yet, and Jimmy Pesto just wasn't on the show, but I'm not certain.

oh, that's what you're calling insurrection conviction this week?
AIUI those were already partially in the can when he was still charged and they stuck by the "Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" especially since he is voicing the role and not appearing as a face actor. I don't expect that to be continued and I would expect a death or recasting soon.
