Iowa judge rules against Libertarian candidates, keeping their names off the ballot for Congress

To say that I'm no fan of right-libertarian politics would be the understatement of the year, but this is antidemocratic bullshit.
The rule broken was announcing their candidates a single day too early ffs!
I'm torn. On the one hand, I definitely think it's anti-democratic. On the other hand, meh, rules are rules and once you let one slide, then things keep sliding.
That's the most textbook slippery slope fallacy I've seen this year!
Do you know WHY they broke the rule? Because as a small party, they can't afford to hold separate caucus and convention events on separate days and still be competitive in ad buys and everything else they need to spend on against the two rich parties.
The rich parties KNOW this. It's exactly why the rule exists: to enforce the status quo of only Dems and the GOP having a realistic chance of winning anything.
So yeah, it's antidemocratic bullshit from top to bottom.
