I'm new to the fediverse in general, but I got here from r/piracy. Watching them and the rest of reddit slowly enshittify was enough.
Plus I've been on a journey away from Google and am learning to self host on my own machines and this place just feels nice. So, thanks!

I migrated from lemmy.world because I wanted access to the piracy communities.
Is it praxis to blow up lemmy.world to decentralise the 'verse?

I've been here for a while, I saw it recommended in some comment section for not defederating a lot and that sounded nice.
edit: also just wanted to get away from Lemmy.world
The community feels genuine, reasonable, and not reactionary. I don't know why but that's hard to find on the internet as a whole.
