APP to limit maximum brightness

It would be good if it had a function to limit brightness by time or by battery level and was Foss (but being Foss is not necessary if app is good and don't want too much permissions). Current screens are too bright for me.

What phone do you have? The S23 Untra has that built in.
- Pixel 5 with graphene. On android by google and graphene there is only adaptive brightness.
I think Tasker could do this, but it is paid app. Good app tho, highly recommend if you want to automate anything
I use Night Owl. It has a setting for time, but not battery level. You can set it between 0 - 100%, but 100 isn't "completely black". It defaults the brightness to minimum for the phone when it is on and goes further.
Have you tried Automation on F-Droid?
What does APP stand for? What is Fossness? (Fossity?)

  The word "app" would be short for "application." "APP" in all caps implies an initialism.
  FOSS is an initialism. "Foss," with not all of its letters capitalized, would not be.
