5th circuit. They're teeing up for SCOTUS.
- The 5th gets scolded by SCOTUS. That's not a predictor, but they aren't upheld as much as many think.
so many good cops, but what does it matter if half of ya are absolute cowards .

  Like, yeah, maybe. But the expression is "one bad apple spoils the whole barrel"

  We should really rethink how we select and train these police if we've been using that phrase wrong!
The republicans in court are going to use the “but the camera is too far away to able to identify police abuse”
- Which is combined with the regular "you don't know what happened before filming" is even worse.
Can't have more videos like the ones that make people angry about our out-of-control police getting out.
So I wonder who's going to build a phone with a built in range finder.

  That hex sequence is used exclusively by the taser company who happens to make all of the cameras for almost all of the police.
  It works fairly effectively, it spotted cops for me while I was driving past them on the freeway so I think that's probably pretty good.

They can't hide things if it is on film! Gosh derned kids! It's not like they can change their behavior, sheesh!

  I mean we don't need to "come up" with anything, just make that asshole face the consequences of his actions...also lock up Cannon, she's not fit to for public service.
25 feet is about 9 steps away. Not super terrible, but as the article states, the cop is likely to decide 25 feet is how ever far he says it is.
I actually agree that there should be some distance on the books, so a cop doesn't have to worry about getting shoved or attacked or whatever while they're dealing with someone else, but 25 feet is a bit excessive.
