- It was. The right airpod would be at full charge because he's only using the airpod for his 'good' ear (the left one).

Are there bluetooth earphones that are connected by wire and share the same battery for both pieces?
- Yeah but they're usually garbage, and went out of vogue like a decade ago or whatever.
- Yes they're literally everywhere. It's the only type of Bluetooth earbud I'll buy.
- Yeah look for "athletic" ones and it has a loose band that connects behind your head

- I used the Anker SoundBuds for a few years. I think they were pretty good
- LG used to have something like that with their Tone, not sure if they are still around
To answer the question this happens because one AirPod is always listening for Siri. You can stop this by turning off Siri on the AirPods
