I bought hades 2 last week and already have almost 30 hours. Those games have the most satisfying difficulty curve. The first time you fight a boss it’s overwhelming and maybe even feels unfair, but smash cut 10 tries later where you’re nailing a no-hit and thinking “hey maybe this boss needs a buff actually”
And the presence of “god mode” means I can recommend it to literally anyone, regardless of how apt they are for ARPGs!
I bought Vampire Survivors two weeks ago and I have almost 40 hours, all on Steam Deck. It's the most fun I've had gaming in a long time. Simple gameplay loop with constant action and so many possible permutations of characters, stages, and power ups! I have ~ 2/3 of the unlocks and achievements so far.
That was the first thing I played when I got my deck! My “recently played” at the time was all multiplayer FPS games and other shit that doesn’t play well with controllers. I figured “shit, at least I can get a feel for the device” and then blasted like 8 straight hours of it that first day hahahah
Binding of Isaac, woot!
I'm surprised that's still in the most played games. Also Slay the Spire. They're top quality games and I still play them. Just surprised there's a long term wider audience.
Amazing replayability
I love it how fallout came back in fashion. even new vegas on the top list
It’s great the people who watch the show see how well they did satire.
New Vegas is still the best one to replay these days IMO.
I agree
Skyrim still relevant 13 years later
New Vegas is up there too, at 14 years later.
Hades II tops the list so hard, it even brought the previous game up with it!
Hm... is the Helldivers 2 experience positive?
Might be pretty good for running with some randos...
It really doesn't run well at all and you have to reduce the settings so much that it looks really bad. When I tried it I was barely hitting 30 fps on one of the first few difficulty levels. Unless they've drastically improved performance or people only play at low difficulty I personally wouldn't recommend it.
It's not so bad if you stream it from a pc but I assume most people want to play portably.
I don't see TF2
I guess valve made a mistake.
I suggest to play Xonotic on Steam Deck
Stardew Valley is a behemoth
My wife and I are actually considering buying steam decks for both of us because the console port for the new update is taking forever.... Why didn't they have the steam deck in 2020 so we could have stayed on our PC saved instead of putting hundreds of hours into Switch saves
Obviously it takes some effort, but if you have an original switch you can pull your save files off of it through jailbreaking tools. I've migrated most of my indie game saves over to my Deck.
Are you me? I've been thinking of trading my Switch for one. Stardew is easily my most played game on it.
Shit yeah it is. I'm nearing the end of my latest playthrough. I probably only have another 40 hours to go!
