Protests in the tens of thousands have been in the streets of Israel since March. Netanyahu has had a 15% favorability rating since January. His remaining supporters are the Orthodox far right, which make up only 13% of citizens. The overwhelming majority are non-secular Jews, at 45%, and 21% of citizens are Arab-Palestinians. Anyone who defines Israelis as uniformly aligned with Netanyahu should consider the same designation for all Americans under a Trump presidency. It’s just plain ignorant.

- Thanks for making this comment. I've seen too much lately that demonises israelis in a way that feels very "cycle of violence" for lack of a better phrase.
  
  Yeah, that’s a good way to put it. Demonizing all Israelis for Netanyahu’s actions is no different than Netanyahu dehumanizing all Palestinians for the actions of Hamas.
- You should check the current election opinion polls. Likud and the other far right parties are currently projected to lose by several seats in some polls. I think you might be underestimating the potential yield of Bibi's tactic to keep the zealots happy. They might be able to gain a few points and win another election, with smaller Likud in the coalition.

These are not, in general, people opposed to the offensive. These are people angry that the incursion on Oct 7 was allowed to happen, and that the hostages haven’t yet been freed. They’re not calling for a pullout, ceasefire, or two state solution. This was closer to a Bomb Iran rally than a Free Palestine rally.
- That’s simply not true. Netanyahu has had a 15% approval rating since January. Only the far right minority still supports him. The left has been protesting him since March, prior to the Iranian consulate attack.

  Right, but they're not disapproving because he's doing too much genocide, they're disapproving because they think he isn't doing enough genocide. At least from the coverage I've seen on the ground in Israel of Israelis.
Netanyahu funded Hamas, and wanted something like October 7 to happen in order to openly ramp up the genocide. He never gave a fuck about the hostages, nor about all of their own people they gunned down with Apache helicopters on October 7. The only thing that matters to him is genocide of Palestinians.

  A lot of people, especially those on the far right, have painted anyone critical of the Israeli government 's actions in Gaza as anti-semites. This is clearly absurd if you take a second to think about it. Making note that Jewish people and Israelis are also critical of these actions is pointing out the absurdity of the statements of the far right.
Put as many people in the streets as you want. That bastard’s not going anywhere until the military turns on him. And right now, they’re having a lot of fun murdering people in Gaza.
