Henrietta Lacks' descendants accused a biopharmaceutical company in a lawsuit Thursday of unjustly profiting from the Black woman's tissue, which was harvested without her knowledge or consent and later used for medical breakthroughs.

Her cell line has been instrumental in tens of thousands of medical patents. Why shouldn't they be compensated?
Why stop at one cash grab when you can do two?
- It won't end at two. They should've been compensated for life pretty much. Companies make $30b off of her cell line and have for decades...
- Won't anyone think of the poor pharma companies?!
- Grabbing cash from pharmaceutic companies? I’d totally try if I had an angle like they do.
