This seems incredibly short sighted. People don't like having their voice silenced, for good reason. Refuse them a chance now and they're more likely to make their displeasure known in the general election when it will have a much greater effect.
Precisely, the more of this sort of stuff happens the more people start realizing that the veneer of democracy is paper thin.
I find it hilarious as the "vote uncommitted" movement(?) specifically says that they will vote for whoever is on the Dem ticket in the General Election. This is just a complete self own by the Democratic Party.
