But he sought to distance the White House from the Senate majority leader’s comments, saying that the Biden administration remained “focused on making sure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself, while doing everything that they can to avoid civilian casualties”.
I think someone like Schumer can afford to throw a punch while Biden sees how it lands and waits to throw another. Biden may wait until he’s sure Bibi is finished.
And some people want to put all the GOP craziness on one ex-president.
The Genocide is the reason there aren't new elections. Maybe stop sending them free bombs to commit Genocide with. Then they have to stop Genociding and can hold new elections.
Congratulations Bibi, you're next up in the long standing tradition of scapegoating. We know the next guys not gonna be much better and the problem with Israel are deep a systemic, but it'll at least force a new media cycle where Isreal will have less eyes on it. Horray.
Bibi has been a large part of that system for a long time. He's not just a scapegoat.
He's being pressured out so the US doesn't have to stop funneling money to their interest keepers in the middle east and he's far from the only one in the government wishing vile things upon both Gaza and the West Bank. This is a band aid on a bullet hole.
If he's the only person that sees any consequences for the tens of thousands of civilians killed, then imo he's essentially a scapegoat.

This is the first move of a coordinated effort it seems to me.
Pretending Israel's problems, and the problem that is Israel in its current form, can be solved by new elections is no effort at all. It's the Democrats' comfort blanket. Everything will be fine if only the right people are in charge. Look away, no structural problems to see here.

But I mean the change is certainly going to have to come from inside Israel, right? A pretty good place to start is getting the right-wing nationalist who's been in power for like 20 years, and isn't even that popular there, and under corruption charges out.

What democrats do say is that you certainly can't do anything with the wrong people in charge. Especially in the US where the only thing the last GOP president did is undo whatever the guy who laughed at him did. Oh and give enormous tax cuts to the rich while cutting in "useless" social programs like SCHOOL LUNCHES AND CLEAN WATER.
