Yeah ok nyt cool story bro 👌👍
It's not just this one poll (archived)
A day after Democrats dragged a New York Times/Siena College poll that showed the president falling 4 points behind his likely Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, in a general election matchup, Sunday brought an additional three major surveys also showing Trump leading amid broad and deep dissatisfaction with the incumbent.
Not popular? But at he's not the fascist orangutan threatening us with another good time.
Even worst, he is a fascist in the closet, I'm don't want Trump to win but at least he is open about being one.
Really? Joe Fucking Biden is a Fascist? Are you out of your goddamn mind? I don't even like the dude and that's absurd.
I'm don't want Trump to win but at least he is open about being [a fascist]
That's actually worse, imo. Like, the fact that we're getting fascist results from status quo Joe doesn't mean he's a fascist, it's just a sign of how bad the status quo has grown to be, and a big part of that is because assholes say disgusting fascist crap openly and normalize fascist viewpoints and behavior*. If the choice does come down to giving Israel bombs to drop on hungry toddlers either way, it is better if it's being done with a furrowed brow instead of a shit eating grin.
*And this goes back way before Trump. Like, the fact that 9/11 got us torturing and suspending due process rights and dropping bombs on innocent people was not an isolated incident and it's not something we've moved past, and that's just a recent high point. This all goes back to Goldwater and Nixon at least.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
He’s an incumbent president running for re-election with a reasonably healthy economy against an unpopular opponent accused of multiple federal crimes.
It has turned what looked like a seemingly predictable rematch into a race with no resemblance to the 2020 election, when Mr. Biden was a broadly appealing candidate who was acceptable to the ideologically diverse group of voters who disapproved of Mr. Trump.
It’s what Democrats largely avoided in the 2018 and 2022 midterm elections, when they mostly nominated acceptable candidates or ran incumbents against right-wing opponents.
Mr. Biden’s strength remains relatively concentrated among the most regular voters, as he holds a 46-45 lead among those who have voted in a midterm or a primary.
He trails by only two points among those “almost certain to vote.” But many other voters will turn out in a general election, and at least in this particular poll they’re enough to give Mr. Trump a modest lead.
And according to our poll, there’s a simple reason for her strength: Biden voters, who now make up 15 percent of those who say they will probably vote in the Republican primary.
The original article contains 942 words, the summary contains 187 words. Saved 80%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
Nah. the first ones will be some minority group protesting.
Get the news orgs to flock out there; makes them easy to line up.
Watching Biden supporters attack the media like a bunch of Republicans is pretty fucking crazy too
If the fascists win, we can both say "I told you so" to each other on our way to that same wall
It is astounding how willing some people on the left are to ignore polling and legitimate criticism.
If Keith Olbermann had his way Trump would be our next president... they've buried their heads so deep in the sand that they're actively hurting Biden's chances.
Biden is flawed, he's too old and generally unpopular. Own it and overcome it - if you don't then people will see that you're full of shit and be more willing to buy Trump's lies.
