Social media riot shutdowns possible under EU content law, top official says

"When there is hateful content, content that calls – for example – for revolt, that also calls for killing and burning of cars, they will be required to delete [the content] immediately"

He's confounding different things here. Calling for revolt, calling for property destruction, hateful content, and calling for killing are not the same degree of thing. Lumping all these things together is harmful to democracy.

I would prefer social media shutdowns in general. Also riots.
