In both cases a smaller weaker nation has been on the receiving end of military aggression. In both cases civilians were displaced causing them to become refugees.
There are people in Gaza who participated in the massacre that included Canadian citizens. The vetting of ANY would be refugee from Gaza must be strict. It will take a while.
