Black Screen Laptop
Black Screen Laptop
I recently reinstalled popos and the live disk would not load when bios is set to switchable graphics, changing this to discrete option and it works fine.
I went ahead installed but if I switch back to switchable graphics my laptop screen is black, I have an external monitor which works fine but unable to use my laptop screen as it stays pitch black until I change back to discrete option in bios.
I assume its an AMD issue, I have a AMD Ryzen 7 6800 CPU and Nvidia GPU. I had a similar issue in Nobara but the fix is to downgrade the amd firmware then dracut and it works fine. I am not sure if there is a similar option or command in popos that can achieve the same result?
Appreciate any insight, thanks
It seems to me that you're telling Pop you have an integrated graphics card, but you don't.
I do have integrated graphics, its AMD ATI 680M
I misinterpreted. You also have a discrete NVIDIA card, yes? I assume there's a key combination that would switch your monitor to use the integrated GPU, and your HMDI out probably is only connected to the discrete one. I'm not sure what the keys are but that's what it seems like to me.
