Obviously this guy needs to be locked up forever, but America’s lack of a social safety net is also to blame.
Unavailable or unaffordable child care meant that mothers working in that mall had to rely on a predator to watch their kids so they could earn a living.
This sort of thing happens anywhere people are forced to choose between putting food on the table and childcare costs.

In those videos, upwards of seven people could be heard making vulgar comments and could be seen assaulting the child, though only Fernandez is charged.
